Growth Energy, the nation’s largest ethanol trade association, held their 12th Annual Executive Leadership Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona last week. This conference brings together biofuels industry experts from all over the country to participate in panel discussions, networking and charity events to help promote the environmental and economic benefits of biofuels with others.
This year’s theme, Frame the Future, covered topics including global opportunities for expanded ethanol use, E15 activities, carbon research and emerging co-product markets. Watch for Growth Energy’s new ‘Get Biofuel’ national advertising campaign launching later this year.
Each year, during the conference, Growth Energy presents their TOBI awards to industry leaders who exhibit innovation, fortitude, perseverance and leadership within the biofuels industry. We are very proud to announce that our own Rob Herbon, director of corporate accounts for our Biofuels group, was presented the award for Member of the Year. “It is such an honor to be recognized as Growth Energy’s Member of the Year. I have been a part of the association since the beginning and have enjoyed being able to share my passion for the biofuels industry with others.”
